With Justin, he was a part of the magnitude of what I had become. So when he was gone I was like, What am I supposed to do with myself? I was devastated [by the breakup] but I handled it a lot better than the [split] with Kevin….He started to do an album for himself and he started to do things for himself, and I just never saw him anymore….When it ended I felt so alone. I didn't really wanna think about the reality of it. I never faced it….I just ran.

On her 2007 breakdown and recovering:

My trust has really been battered….Sometimes it can get kinda lonely….I had totally lost my way. I lost focus. I lost myself. I let certain people into my life that were just bad people…because I was lonely….I really paid the consequences for that. Big time….What the hell was I thinking?

On fame:

At first, it's amazing, the first year or two, because it's like, I'm a celebrity!….It didn't really touch me until I had been working for six years….I wanted to just stop. I wanted to create a new life.

And on the current state of her life:

I used to be a cool chick but I'm not anymore.

The 90 minute MTV documentary November 30th and follows the singer over the three months following her VMA appearance.

Los Angeles Councilman Dennis Zine is seeking legislation that would ban paparazzi within 20 feet of schools, hospitals, and medical facilities.

The proposal, introduced by Zine this week, comes as a result of a "new breed of paparazzi," who are more aggressive than ever.

Zine has long been a crusader for celebrities' right to peace and privacy. He earlier attempted to enact a "personal safety zone" ordinance, that would have required paps to remain a certain distance from celebs, but did not ban the use of long lenses. So while the paps could still get the shot, at least celebs could get to their cars without having to wade through a sea of shutterbugs.

But the bill stalled when the LAPD deemed it "unnecessary and unenforceable."

This new ordinance would protect "sensitive-use locations" at which the presence of 'razzis currently annoys both celebs and citizens alike. Zine said, "The goal is to have a safe area where people can conduct themselves . . . so we don't have the chaotic circumstances we now encounter."

Makes sense to us!

She had on a black knee-length dress, what looks to be leather boots, a fur Louis Vuitton scarf, and a large fur coat.

As we mentioned yesterday, New Kids On The Block-er Donnie Wahlberg raised some eyebrows with a quote he gave about boy bands and closeted NKOTB member Jonathan Knight.

In a newspaper interview, Wahlberg had said, "You could look at a group like 'NSync and go, 'Oh my gosh, Lance Bass is the Jon Knight, Justin Timberlake is the Joe McIntyre, JC Chasez is the Jordan Knight'–you could go right down the line.

But Walhberg now feels he has to defend what he said - making it clear that he didn't mean to 'out' Knight.

Donnie claims that comparing Jon to Lance Bass wasn't a comparison to his homosexuality. Although a lot of people already know of Knight's gayness and even know that he has a boyfriend.

In a new interview, Donnie says, “That was an . . . out-of-context manipulation of my answer. I was referring to ’N Sync’s management trying to copy us - Joe the cute young Justin type, Jordan the dark and handsome JC type; Jon the shy and quiet Lance type.”

He clarified that it was just a “shy/quiet reference. Not a gay reference.”

Uh huh!

Donnie added, “The point was that they built that group to look like us and we were not built to look like anyone. Jon is my good friend. I wouldn’t backhand him.”

Ok, so he clearly didn't out him. But why won't Jon just come out?
